1979 Porsche 911 Turbo

This 1979 Turbo is  a rare piece of history. Way back in 1979 Porsche announced it would be the last year for the 930 Turbo here in the U.S. and brought 1200 examples to North America. This caused a buying frenzy with dealers selling examples for 10’s of thousands over MSRP. The orders were placed and the vast majority of those cars came in exactly like you’d expect them too, Black, White, Red and Silver! But Rarely, very rarely someone would be patient enough to wait for something special. This car is truly special car being one of a handful of cars with a factory “paint to sample” exterior. This Continental Orange example was purchased by my clients father with only 14,000 miles (1,000 miles a year) way back in 1993. The car has been exceptionally well kept and has only traveled 19,000 more miles in the last 25 years. The pampered life of this 33,000 mile turbo car has lived shows in its condition, which is excellent. The car has been well serviced and driven sparingly for its entire life. A truly rare chance to own a one of a kind 930 Turbo in a very rare, sought after color!
